After nearly 30 years of using the pattern of the Lord’s Prayer for his own personal life, Dennis Fuqua has not only written the book, Living Prayer; the Lord’s Prayer Alive in You, but has also developed this companion seminar to help us really grasp the significance and use of this simple but profound prayer. Just as the Lord communicated with His people through the Written Word and the Living Word, so also, we want to communicate this essential message in a written way and in 

a personal way.The Living Prayer Seminar is not a series of sermons pieced together. It is a highly interactive, fun, creative time which will help you not only know and appreciate this most well-known prayer, but also gain experience and confidence in praying it. With 25 years of pastoral ministry and leading an international prayer ministry since 2000, Dennis finds a wonderful balance of sharing what he has gleaned from this prayer and helping you glean for yourself. You will leave this seminar with a greater freshness in your own prayer life and the ability to share with others how they can glean from this “best-of-all prayers from the Best-of-all Pray-ers.”

Here's a bit about him and his work.

Dennis has been the director of International Renewal Ministries (IRM – www.prayersummit.net) since the year 2000. Prior to that, he pastored for twenty-five years in Gig Harbor, Washington. In 1989 IRM (under the direction of Dr. Joe Aldrich) gave birth to the Pastors’ Prayer Summit movement. Now Dennis helps shepherd this movement, which has spread to at least forty states and over thirty nations. He has had the privilege of facilitating thousands of hours of corporate prayer in multiple-day Prayer Summits, congregations, classrooms, at retreats, and many other settings. These opportunities have given him a unique experience and perspective which he shares in this book. His love for the Written Word and the Living Word has not only helped guide these times of prayer but also his life.

He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in ministry at Multnomah University, Portland, Oregon.

He speaks often on the topics of individual and corporate prayer in congregations, clonferences, classrooms, and retreats. His passion is to see the church relate best to God, itself, and to those who have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ. He is a member of America’s National Prayer Committee and Mission America Coalition and serves as one of the coaches of their “Loving Our Communities to Christ” process.

His articles have appeared in several magazines including Pray! Magazine and Prayer Connect. He is also the author of the 2010 book Living Prayer: The Lord’s Prayer Alive in You.

Dennis and his wife, Marilyn, have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They live in Vancouver, Washington.
